How to Stop Excessive Sweating Once and for All with a Simple Natural Remedies

While sweating is a natural body process beneficial to human health, excessive sweating is not normal and it can create numerous problems in people’s lives. Excessive sweating during normal daily activities can lead to low self-esteem and low self-confidence and cause embarrassment.

Excessive sweating is often linked with stress, anxiety, obesity, nutritional deficiencies, and poor circulation. Some of the medical causes of excessive sweating are diabetes, fever, heart problems, hyperthyroidism, leukemia and menopause.

Simple Natural Remedies for Excessive Sweating

This problem can affect many areas of the body like the palms, soles, underarms, neck, forehead and even the scalp. It can happen while you’re awake or asleep. Here’s how to stop it once and for all.

Simple Home Remedies for Excessive Sweating

Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple Cider Vinegar is the mother of home remedies as it is used for various conditions, including sweating. Apple Cider Vinegar balances the pH level of your body areas like feet or armpits so that bacteria find it difficult to thrive there. Apple cider vinegar has astringent properties that can help you to control sweating externally.

In addition, when apple cider vinegar is taken internally, this vinegar can help you in balancing your body’s pH level. To use apple cider vinegar for reducing excessive sweating, here are step by step instructions:

  • You wash the area of your body that sweats the most.
  • Then you use some cotton balls in order to rub a little of apple cider vinegar onto this area.
  • Then you let this solution sit on your skin overnight.
  • In the next morning, you take a shower or bath.
  • Then you apply a little of deodorant or talcum powder.

Alternatively, you can mix 2 tsp of honey with 2 tsp of the organic apple cider vinegar into a glass of water.

Then drink this mixture once a day on an empty stomach in order to combat excessive sweating.

Baking Soda

Baking soda also helps solve the problem of excessive perspiration. It is a natural antiperspirant, which means it can effectively absorb moisture and neutralize body odor, too. Plus, as baking soda is alkaline in nature, it lowers the pH level of the body parts that sweat a lot.

  • Mix 1 teaspoon of baking soda with enough water to make a thick paste. Add 3 or 4 drops of an essential oil of your choice. Apply this to your armpits and other parts that sweat a lot. Wash it off after 15 to 20 minutes. Do this a few times a week.
  • Alternatively, mix equal amounts of baking soda and cornstarch and store it in a bottle. Dust some of this mixture where you sweat the most. Use it as needed.

Try either of these remedies for several days.

Black Tea

Black tea is a good remedy to control sweating. The tannic acid in tea has antiperspirant and astringent properties. Thus, black tea helps make the sweat glands constrict so they do not produce sweat in excess. Also, black tea kills bacteria that cause body odor.

  • Put 1 or 2 tea bags in 3 to 4 cups of hot water.
  • Allow it to steep for 10 minutes.
  • Dip a wash cloth in this solution and rub it on the underarms and neck. To control feet and hand sweating, soak them in this water for 20 to 30 minutes.
  • Follow this treatment once daily for a few weeks.

Also, drink 2 to 3 cups of black tea daily.

Lemon

Lemon has long been an Ayurvedic remedy to control sweating. It works as a natural deodorant to mask the embarrassing odors caused by perspiration.

  • Add the juice of 1 lemon to a glass of water. Soak a washcloth in it and rub it all over your body. Leave it on for 20 to 30 minutes and then take a bath or shower using only cold water. Do this once daily.
  • Another option is to mix equal parts of lemon juice and baking soda into a smooth paste. Use a cotton pad to apply this mixture to the sweating areas. Leave it on for about 20 minutes, then rinse it off with water. Follow this remedy every other day.

Note: Avoid going out in the sun immediately after using lemon juice.
